On March 26, Ted Gehr, Acting Mission Director, technical officers from USAID, and implementing partners, traveled to Ucayali to meet the Regional Government.  The purpose of the meeting was to share USAID cooperation strategy in Ucayali and look for ways to continue working together for the development of the region.

USAID’s Partnerships for Enhanced Engagement in Research (PEER) program in collaboration with USAID/Peru convened a regional meeting of nearly 50 scientists and engineers to discuss their innovative work and expand Latin America & Caribbean’s regional capacity for scientific research.

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) delivered to the Regional Government of San Martin 230 uninterruptible power supply (UPS), as a part of the equipment needed to implement the "SIS GalenPlus", which is a integrated information system, allowed the integration and simplify data records, and provides reports to support the local management of health services.

January 30, 2015

During the week of January 19, USAID/Peru was visited by the Acting Assistant Administrator Ms. Elizabeth Hogan.
During her visit, Ms. Hogan was able to visit project sites in Huaraz and Pucallpa, meet with VIP Officials of the Peruvian Government, and learn about USAID/Peru's Environment program.

January 30, 2015

On January 20th Ms. Hogan traveled to Pucallpa to visit USAID/Peru Alternative Development programs. She visited a cocoa farm and met farmers and their families who shared their experiences transitioning from illicit coca to cocoa.  She also visited a USAID supported technology center where digital literacy training is being delivered by CEDRO, a Peruvian NGO and one of USAID's most steadfast local partners. She met program participants who explained how the training impacted their lives.
