The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) delivered to the Regional Government of San Martin 230 uninterruptible power supply (UPS), as a part of the equipment needed to implement the "SIS GalenPlus", which is a integrated information system, allowed the integration and simplify data records, and provides reports to support the local management of health services.

Thanks to the "SIS GalenPlus" patients will not have to spend time in long lines, and their clinical records will be available on the computer network, doctors can enter their indications and share them with the laboratory personnel, etc. But one of the greatest achievements of this system is that it helps to reduce rates of chronic child malnutrition more effectively, as they can track patients continuously, identify risk factors and act promptly.

Previously, USAID provided and installed computer equipment in 67 health facilities and in a few weeks will be granted with medical equipment to six health centers.
The SIS GalenPlus was designed by USAID and it is part of the Program of Integrated Actions to Improve Child Nutrition - PAIMNI, and USAID supports it steadily.
