On March 26, Ted Gehr, Acting Mission Director, technical officers from USAID, and implementing partners, traveled to Ucayali to meet the Regional Government. The purpose of the meeting was to share USAID cooperation strategy in Ucayali and look for ways to continue working together for the development of the region.
USAID is implementing 26 activities in Ucayali. Some of the key ones are: Alternatives to Illicit Coca Cultivation, Digital Inclusion Program, Strengthening the Decentralization Process, Reinforcing Primary Education, Conflict Prevention, Protection of the Forest, and Peruvian Amazon Biodiversity.
