WASHINGTON, D.C. - The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Acting Assistant Administrator for Latin America and the Caribbean Beth Hogan will travel to Peru November 18 - 20 to attend the Fifth Meeting of Ministers Responsible for Public Security in the Americas (MISPA-V). Hogan will join the United States delegation led by Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates to discuss the prevention of crime, violence, and insecurity across the Americas, an area in which USAID plays a key role.
Acting Assistant Administrator Hogan will also attend an event hosted by U.S. Ambassador Brian Nichols commemorating the U.S. Government's 70 years of health assistance to Peru. The country has made remarkable progress in improving health outcomes and the Government of Peru is committed to sustaining those advances.
