USAID Peru Mission Director Lawrence Rubey attended the presentation of the documentary film ¨Victims needed: after the gold route and exploitation from Cusco to Madre de Dios¨, and reaffirmed the US Government support against human trafficking, a work that has already been underway since 2014, through its implementer partner the NGO Human Capital and Social Alternative.

USAID/Peru's GallinazoAvisa campaign has won a bronze Lion award at this year's Cannes Festival.  It enlisted GPS-equipped vultures to draw attention to urban solid waste problems and get municipalities and citizens engaged in developing solutions.

Peru will have the VII Salón del Cacao y Chocolate Peru 2016, from July 7th to 10th at the Lima Convention Center in Peru. This is the most important exhibition and sale space of this tasty food, and aims to integrate the different national and international operators in the value chain of Peruvian cacao.

On May 05, 2016, in Bogota, Colombia, at the end of the XV Annual Evaluation Meeting for the Amazon Malaria Initiative (AMI) and the Amazon Network for the Surveillance of Resistance to Antimalarial Drugs (RAVREDA), colleagues from the Neglected, Tropical and Vector Borne Unit at the Pan American Health Organization thanked Dr. Jaime Chang for his support to the fight against malaria in the Americas.
