Peru will have the VII Salón del Cacao y Chocolate Peru 2016, from July 7th to 10th at the Lima Convention Center in Peru. This is the most important exhibition and sale space of this tasty food, and aims to integrate the different national and international operators in the value chain of Peruvian cacao.
The launching ceremony was attended by Juan Manuel Benites, Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation, Alberto Otárola, Chief Executive of the National Commission for Development and Life without Drugs (DEVIDA); Lawrence Rubey USAID Mission Director, Ambassador Erik Anderson Machado, Secretary General of Foreign Affairs, Luis Torres, Export Director of PROMPERU, and Francisco Rivas, President of the Peruvian Association of Cacao Producers (APPCACAO).
Mr. Rubey highlighted the importance of the USG´s support for the development of the Peruvian cacao value chain through the years.
