საქართველოში შეზღუდული შესაძლებლობის მქონე პირთა უფლებების დაცვის დღის აღსანიშნავად იმართება ეროვნული ფორუმი გაეროს 2006 წლის შეზღუდული შესაძლებლობის მქონე პირთა უფლებების კონვენციის შესახებ. ფორუმი გაზრდის საზოგადოებრივ ცნობიერებას შეზღუდული შესაძლებლობის მქონე პირთა საკითხების შესახებ საქართველოსა და მსოფლიოში.
თბილისი, საქართველო- 2016 წლის 7 ივნისს აშშ-ს ელჩი იან კელი და საქართველოს შრომის, ჯანმრთელობისა და სოციალური დაცვის მინისტრი დავით სერგეენკო დაესწრებიან ღონისძიებას, რომელიც ეძღვნება USAID-ის ტუბერკულოზის პრევენციის პროექტის წარმატებით დასრულებას. აშშ-ს მთავრობა მსოფლიოში ერთ-ერთი უდიდესი დონორი და ლიდერია ტუბერკულოზთან ბრძოლაში. ბოლო ათწლეულის განმავლობაში, იმ ქვეყნებში სადაც აშშ-მ მხარი დაუჭირა ტუბერკულოზის პროგრამებს, ამ დაავადების გავრცელება 42, ხოლო ტუბერკულოზით გამოწვეული სიკვდილიანობა 43 პროცენტამდე შემცირდა.
