Quotes:
.@jmkikwete: Energy is key to development and decent life. With improved access to electricity, our effort to #EndPoverty is enhanced.
— USAID (@USAID) September 19, 2014
With the right policy mix, and appropriate interventions from government, enhanced private sector, and the support from our development partners, for which the United States and the UK have been quite exceptional in this regard, it is possible to transform the economy. We can win the battle over eradicating poverty, income poverty, and hunger, if we invest in growth enhancing, job creating, and poverty reducing interventions.
The Tanzania Development Vision 2025...focuses on transforming Tanzania, from a least developed country to a middle income country by the year 2025. Tanzania will be then a country characterized by high quality livelihood, peace, stability and unity, as well as good governance. A country with a well-educated and learning society, and a competitive semi-industrialized economy, capable of producing growth and shared benefits.
