Frontiers in Development will host a simultaneous Innovation Marketplace in Atrium Hall at the Ronald Reagan Building. The Marketplace will be open to the public on September 18 and 19 from 8:30 am 4: 00 pm.

The Innovation Marketplace focuses on the idea that science, technology, innovation, and partnership can accelerate development impact to end extreme poverty by 2030 and showcases some of the most creative development thinking and technology from around the world.

The two day marketplace will feature thought provoking speakers, demonstrations, video, art, opportunities for hands-on interaction and much more. We hope you will join us in this exciting and dynamic space.

The Innovation Marketplace will be accessible to by all Frontiers Forum guests as well as USAID staff and partners and the general public. For planning purposes we ask if you plan to visit the innovation marketplace that you RSVP here.

The Marketplace will include:

  • Innovation Stage - Hear the latest and most innovative thinking in a series of short and powerful DevTalks. To see an evolving Innovation Stage program and schedule click here [PDF].
  • Partner Exhibits - Engage in conversation with more than 40 USAID and partner organizations that are taking innovative approaches to development challenges.
  • A "Visual Voices" room - Experience videos and voices highlighting innovative work being done in development around the world.
  • Interactive Learning - See how videogames, apps, and other modern "edutainment" options are being used to educate and inform.
  • Demo Corner - Participate in a number of different hands-on demonstrations with development experts to learn about cutting-edge technologies in development.
  • Makerspace - Come and see how "makerspaces" are changing development and empowering local innovators.
