On November 10th, USAID Kosovo Mission Director James Hope spoke at the closing ceremony of the Business Aid Package program for 32 business grant beneficiaries. USAID has supported these businesses through grants for production equipment, tailor-made training and capacity building, as well as market linkage opportunities.

Last week Ambassador Delawie visited the Green School in Pristina. This is the first school of its kind in the region, constructed and run with new technologies to reduce energy consumption. The school is a leader in providing quality education, promoting youth innovation and environmentally-conscious citizenship. To date, the students of this school have engaged in robotics and software programming, and are always looking for ways to apply modern technology to preserving the environment.
Following successful completion of the first round of internships, USAID’s REPOWER-Kosovo Project launched round two in partnership with the University of Prishtina and RIT Kosovo (American University in Kosovo).
