Vietnam is making efforts to enforce new national legal provisions and comply with international commitments regarding judicial proceedings for commercial disputes under the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods and other recent national laws. To help meet these requirements, USAID’s Governance for Inclusive Growth Program and the Vietnam Supreme People’s Court organized a training program on August 1-2 for 55 representatives from provincial and district courts nationwide to equip them with the knowledge and skills to improve the quality of judicial proceedings for commercial disputes. So what? Strengthening the judicial capacity of judges and the performance of the court system enhances the trust in the judicial system, and improves the business environment to attract investors.
