120 secondary school students from all over Kyrgyzstan participated in summer camps in Osh and Issyk-Kul in August to learn critical thinking, leadership skills, teamwork, civic values, and community engagement. These annual camps are hosted by the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES) with the support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

The Program has been implemented in Osh and Jalal-Abad. During the program EFCA organized 16 Women’s Initiative Groups in Osh and Jalal-Abad that select social development projects proposed by local residents. EFCA provided small grants to the Initiative Groups and helped them find required co-financing for their projects from local authorities, private companies or other sources.
