During the first half of 2016, community workers from USAID’s Land Access for Women (LAW) Program provided legal advice on land-related issues to more than 2,400 people in Long An and Hung Yen provinces in the resolution of nearly 360 cases. Besides providing legal consultations, the LAW-trained community volunteers also conducted door-to-door visits to offer assistance, organized community events to raise land rights awareness, generated evidence on land rights barriers based on actual cases, and conducted land rights advocacy meetings.
