On July 19-21 in Hanoi, representatives from a range of Vietnamese non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and civil society organizations (CSOs) attended a USAID-supported workshop that aimed to strengthen their financial sustainability within the context of a changing donor environment.  The workshop addressed issues such as: developing a fundraising strategy; strengthening the capacity for mobilizing resources from various sources; identifying potential sources for financial support; increasing the portfolio of potential donors (domestic and international); preparing for direct communication and meetings with donors; and identify the internal organizational fundraising strengths and building on them and improving on fundraising-related weaknesses.
