USAID’s Governance for Inclusive Growth Program is helping Hanoi Law University to adopt an innovative and practical approach in their training programs in order to equip judges, provincial legal officials, legal advisors, and lawyers with skills related to policy analysis, including conducting and interpreting policy impact assessments. Materials for the university’s 2018 master’s degree program have recently been developed, that apply the manual on policy analysis and policy impact assessment developed by USAID. So what?  As USAID work with the Vietnamese Government on systemic change for more accountable governance, training law professionals and government officials in policy analysis and policy impact assessment will make an important contribution.
