The event "Youth Workers in a Youth Club: From Idea to Implementation - Young People are OK" was organized today by the Ministry of Youth and Sports (MoYS), National Association of Youth Workers (NAPOR), UNICEF and USAID.
Ambassador Michael D. Kirby visited the Regional Agriculture Education Center and Agriculture Extension Service’s crop-testing fields in Sombor today. The Center was established in August, 2014 to help farmers acquire new skills and knowledge that increase productivity and product quality. Producers will also learn how to introduce new crop varieties and apply modern farming technology.
Through funding provided by USAID Office of Foreign Disaster Assistance (USAID/OFDA) and the European Commission’s Department for Humanitarian Aid and Civil Protection (ECHO), a total of 3,090 households will have the opportunity to start renovating their homes and small businesses over the next three months. As part of these efforts, Mercy Corps has recently delivered UniCredit bank gift cards to families affected by the May floods in both Sabac and Koceljeva.
In a ceremony to promote increased transparency and openness of courts, Ambassador Michael D. Kirby and Supreme Court Chief Justice Dragomir Milojević’s opened the Supreme Court of Cassation’s new information desk and officially launched its website on Thursday, September 18, 2014 in the main hall of the Supreme Court of Cassation building.

Kirby and Minister of Defense Bratislav Gasić highlighted the importance of strengthening anti-corruption efforts in the security sector at the conference on the Partnership for Integrity in the Security Sector in Serbia organized by the Belgrade Centre for Security Policy (BCSP) today.
