USAID Kenya Mission Director to Speak at Pathfinder International’s 50th Anniversary Celebration

The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Mission Director for Kenya, Karen Freeman, will represent the U.S. Government at the 50th Anniversary Celebration for Pathfinder International.

When:  Friday, April 20

Time: 8:00 – 10:00 a.m.

Where: Watermark Office Suites, Fountain Court, Karen, Nairobi

Background:  Pathfinder International has been a key USAID partner since 1968, and currently implements the AIDS, Population, and Health Integrated Assistance activity, known as APHIAplus Nairobi-Coast, in Nairobi, Mombasa, Kwale, Kilifi, Taita Taveta, and Lamu counties. Through this activity, Pathfinder has improved the health of Kenyans through an integrated package of family planning, reproductive health, maternal and child health, HIV/AIDS and TB services.

Last year, the United States invested more than Ksh 30 billion to improve the quality of health services, as well as the overall environment in which they are delivered in Kenya.

USAID is the U.S. Government agency responsible for administering civilian foreign aid.
