The United States Government, through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), announced three new partnerships to share successful low-cost agricultural innovations and technologies with African countries.

The United States, through the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), has announced a $250,000 grant to the organization UN Women, which is a part of the United Nations' Women's Global Safe Cities Initiative.  The grant is for the ongoing program "Delhi Safe City - Free of Violence against Women and Girls," that will be implemented in partnership with Indian civil society organizations. This announcement comes in the same month as the International Day of the Girl Child and on the eve of the international community's 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence beginning late November.

Jaipur - U.S. Ambassador to India Nancy J. Powell presided over a graduation ceremony today at the Chaudhury Charan Singh National Institute of Agricultural Marketing (NIAM), marking the completion of the first training program on agricultural marketing management for 30 visiting African agriculture professionals.

The United States Government, through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), announced a new partnership with the Centre for Knowledge Societies (CKS), one of India's leading innovation consulting firms, to implement a $3.2 million initiative to help improve the reading skills of millions of primary school age children in India.

Kolkata - The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) is partnering with the Confederation of Indian Industries – Food and Agriculture Centre of Excellence (CII-FACE) to set up rural business hubs in eastern India. These rural business hubs will serve as one-stop-shops that offer various agricultural inputs and services to farmers, including weather information, crop management advice, and access to markets and finance.
