On March 6, 20 youths, including two women,  from Santiago Nonualco and surrounding municipalities in the department of La Paz received diplomas for completing training as  aerial maintenance auxiliaries and ramp assistants under the USAID Improving Access to Employment Program’s “Jóvenes Comprometidos – Yo Hago la Diferencia” (“Commited Youth – I make a difference") initiative.

SAN SALVADOR–After nine months of study and preparation, 246 Salvadoran youths received certificates for participating in the "Jóvenes con Valor" (Youth with Valor) initiative, a course in character and values formation from the program "The Seven Habits of Highly Effective Teens" by Franklin Covey.

The course was taught by FORJA Foundation, under the coordination of the National Internship Program JOVEN360, which is funded by the USAID Improving Access to Employment Program.

SAN SALVADOR–Businesses in the Municipality of San Martín now have a one-stop service window to facilitate all required procedures, such as registrations and permits.  The new service window was inaugurated by the San Martin municipality with support from USAID.  With the new window, the number of prescribed requirements and steps that business owners have to follow, the number of visits to the municipality and the waiting times in resolution procedures will be greatly reduced.

SAN SALVADOR-The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), through its Improving Access to Employment program, and Grupo AGRISAL’s Hotel Division signed a memorandum of understanding for the training and employment of more than 200 youths during the first half of this year.
