USAID/Brazil and Yunus Social Business met to discuss ideas and possibilities to work as partners. The objective of the meeting was to identify specific activities that will promote the concept of social business in Brazil. The meeting took place as a result of a Global MOU previously signed by USAID Administrator and Prof. Yunus earlier this year in Washington-DC. Brazil is considered a good place to implement the concept of social business. The country’s socioeconomic and development policies have produced successful results during the last fifteen years. Millions of Brazilians came out of extreme poverty and a new low middle class has been formed. It will be within this context that USAID and Yunus Social Business expect to be working together next year.
