USAID and Mais Unidos launch its 3rd Social Investment Report
On November 13th, USAID and Mais Unidos Group will launch its 3rd Social Investment Report. The event will be held at the AMCHAM in Sao Paulo. 36 companies participated in the report, they are: 3M, Accenture, AES, Alcoa, AMD, Bunge, Cargill, Caterpillar, Chevron, Cisco, Citi, Coca-Cola, Colgate, Cummins, Dell, Deloitte, Dow, GE, GM, HP, IBM, International Paper, KPMG, Microsoft, Mondelez, Monsanto, Motorola Mobility, Motorola Solutions, Nike, Oracle, P&G, Pfizer, Qualcomm, Rigesa, Walmart, Whirlpool. Many CEOs and senior level executives as well as Mais Unidos Board of Directors members are expected to attend. Here is a snapshot of what is going to be reported in November and, that demonstrates U.S companies’ social investment and development effort in Brazil: approximately, U$ 100million was invested in dozens of socioeconomic and environmental projects. U.S companies donated: 83,8 tons of non-processed food; 25.585 toys for kids, 3080 blankets; 53.338 school kits, 15.383 books, 3.223 kilos of cloth. The data collected was from 2012. After its disclosure, the report will be available at the Mais Unidos and USAID websites for consultation.
