Skopje - Today, the US Ambassador Paul Wohlers visited the USAID Business without Borders project, implemented by the Business Start-up Centre (BSC) in Bitola.  USAID awarded U.S. $1.3 million to the BSC for this three-year project that works to accelerate economic growth in southern Macedonia by assisting small and medium enterprises.

Skopje - Today, the USAID Business without Borders project shared its first-year successes in helping to create jobs, start new businesses and improve the competitiveness of existing enterprises in the Pelagonia region.  The project, implemented by the Foundation Business Start-up Center - Bitola (BSC - Bitola), is a three-year effort to accelerate economic growth in southern Macedonia by assisting micro and small enterprises.

Skopje - Today at the American Corner in Tetovo, USAID opened a traveling photo exhibition, entitled USAID – Changing Lives, in celebration of USAID’s 50th anniversary globally and its 18th year as Macedonia’s partner in development.  To mark the occasion, 18 photographs were selected for exhibition through a contest on the USAID Macedonia Facebook page during December, 2011.

Skopje - The Interethnic Integration in Education Project is a 4 year, $5.2 milion initiative that is co-financed by USAID and the U.S. European Command, which will work with all relevant educational stakeholders in support of the Government of Macedonia’s efforts for ethnic integration.  The Project will build awareness and provide diversity training, technical assistance, and incentives to school boards, principals, teachers, and administration officials.
