Skopje - Today a three-day international conference organized by the USAID Business Without Borders project began. The conference is a unique platform where participants from the public, private, civil-society and academia sectors will exchange regional experiences and elaborate policies for SME development, hence further paving the way for overall economic growth.

Skopje - The USAID Youth Employability Skills (YES) Network Project today opened career centers in the Slavco Stojmenski and Jane Sandanski secondary schools in Stip. These are 2 of the 25 school career centers that USAID has helped to renovate and equip in 6 municipalities. USAID provided new furniture, IT equipment, books and other resource materials valued at U.S. $5,000 per school.

Skopje - On November 7th, in v. Krklino, Bitola, USAID launched its Small Business Expansion Project in the Pelagonija Region. The project’s goal is to work in collaboration with the private sector and local government institutions to drive regional and local economic development, and in Pelagonija, it will focus on agro-processing, rural tourism, and light manufacturing, as well as design and printing services and artisanal work as main drivers of the local economy.

Skopje - Today, the USAID Investment Development and Export Advancement Support Project launched three web portals that will make information more accessible to the private sector.  

www.konkurentnost.mk, hosted by the Ministry of Economy (MoE), will give the business sector access to information on all available government support related to implementation of the Industrial Policy 2009-2020.
