MIGRANT AND REFUGEE HUMAN RIGHTS PROTECTION PROJECT

Objective

To improve integration of LGBTI community members in society and advance LGBTI rights in Macedonia.

Implementer: East West Management Institute (EWMI), in partnership with four local civil society organizations (CSOs): the Foundation for Internet and Society “Metamorphosis”, the Association for Democratic Initiatives (ADI), the Foundation for Open Society in Macedonia (FOSM), and the National Youth Council of Macedonia.

Development Credit Authority (DCA) assumes a share of the lending risk to encourage financial institutions to provide loans to sectors and segments important to development. DCA works with missions that offer technical assistance to build the credit-worthiness of borrowers, increase the willingness of lenders to extend credit, and create linkages between borrowers and lenders.

The Partnership for Advancing Community Based Services (PACS) works to strengthen the delivery of high quality community health and social welfare services by providing technical and operational support to the Ministries of Health (MOH), Public Works, and Gender, Child, and Social Protection, as well as to civil society organizations (CSO).  PACS supports interventions across four strategic objectives:

In support of the Government of Morocco’s efforts to increase civic participation, USAID is providing direct grants to five CSOs to strengthen their capacities to act as intermediary support organizations (ISOs) and engage with the government on behalf of the citizens.

Objectives

Improve access to finance tailored to the needs of low income households, entrepreneurs and MSE. Provide easier access to finance to the low/no income households, entrepreneurs and micro enterprises, thus creating new jobs, galvanizing economic growth, and reducing poverty.

 

The overall objective of the Modernizing the Inspection Authorities Project is tointroduce a modern, business-friendly,and predictable inspection system to  enhanced the efficiency of inspection authoritiesby implementing best practices and principles in the inspection process.

The objectives of this project are a) for micro and small businesses throughout Macedonia to improve their compliance with legal requirements; and b) that business organizations engage in constructive dialogue on streamlining of regulation.

The overall goal of the project is to assist young people with disabilities enterthe workforce in Macedonia, specifically in the fast growing information technology (IT)sector, and to helpdisabled persons' organizations (DPOs) to improve the employment-related skills ofyouth with disabilities.
