Šabac, June 21, 2016 – U.S. Ambassador to Serbia, Kyle Scott, visited the Opportunity Bank Serbia’s (OBS) Sabac branch office to hear about OBS’s latest innovations to increase access to finance for small, rural businesses. The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) has supported OBS since 2002. OBS works to provide micro, rural, agro and small- and medium-enterprise (SME) lending to Serbian businesses that cannot obtain financial assistance from traditional banks.
Belgrade – On Jun 20, 2016, the 15th official World Refugee Day, the Ana and Vlade Divac Foundation and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), presented the results of the first public opinion survey on Serbian citizens’ attitudes towards the ongoing migrant and refugee crisis.
On May 10, 2016, Ambassador Kyle Randolph Scott met with Ms. Gordana Rajkov, President of the Center for Independent Living (CIL) Serbia and long-time disability movement activist, to discuss voters with disabilities’ participation in the April 2016 Serbian elections. Last month’s election was the first time Serbia collected data about the accessibility of polling stations for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs).
The Accountant (USAID) position is located in the USAID Serbia. The incumbent provides full financial management services to Serbia and to some countries included in the Middle East Regional Program in Frankfurt, Germany.
