USAID celebrated 10 years of contribution to the conservation of the Andean Amazon through its regional program ICAA, which integrates the efforts of more than 30 organizations in Peru, Colombia and Ecuador.

The event was led by the US Ambassador in Peru Brian A. Nichols and the Minister of Environment Manuel Pulgar VIdal. Also participated local people, beneficiaries, who provided testimonials of their experience with USAID´s ICAA program. 

It was highlighted the achievements made by the program in sustainable development of the Amazon Basin, including biodiversity conservation, effective governance, and improvement of livelihoods for Amazon people.
