ExpoAmazonica Launch Ceremony 2017

Today was the launch ceremony of the ExpoAmazonica 2017.  Among the attendees were the Minister of Foreign Trade & Tourism, the President of DEVIDA, the Vice Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation and the Ambassador of the U.S. in Peru, Brian A. Nichols.

The Regional Governor of San Martin, Victor Noriega, expressed his appreciation to the U.S. Government for its continued support for the development of the San Martin Region and invited the public, the press and the private sector to visit the ExpoAmazonica. This event is the most important market fair in the Peruvian Amazon and this year will take place in the San Martin Region, in Tarapoto and Mayobamba simultaneously, from August 10 to 13.

The ExpoAmazonica is a space that will connect the supply of producers and artisans, with the demand of national and international buyers, entrepreneurs and private investors. It is expected to generate business for more than $15 million in the short term.
