On November 18th was the celebration of 70 years of cooperation between the Government of the United States and the Government of Peru to improve the Health and quality of life of millions of Peruvians.

The meeting was attended by various authorities and Health experts, who over the years worked hard to raise the level of national Health. Many of them have been members of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), some worked as implementing their programs, others were colleagues at USAID and some were appointed ministers of Health in different periods.

While the Health Program USAID closes its participation in Peru, Health will remain a priority in the shared agenda between Peru and the United States. Now it will be within a peer relationship that contributes to Health in Latin America and the world, through the work of NAMRU 6, which is the Naval Medical Research Unit 6 of the Navy of the United States.
