Hal Freeman, 80, began a long and distinguished career as an education Foreign Service Officer (FSO) for USAID and its predecessor agency 53 years ago.  Recently, Rina Dhalla, a presidential management fellow in the Agency’s Office of Education, had the opportunity to speak with him about his career, his passion for education, and his advice for the latest group of FSOs heading into the field.
