March 15, 2017 - Today’s event at Hotel Alexander Palace in Skopje marks the achievements and joint efforts in the last five years of the USAID Interethnic Integration in Education Program (IIEP) in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Science, educational institutions, municipalities, schools and partners. The objective of this program was to integrate children of various ethnic backgrounds through education and other activities. IIEP involved schools, teachers, children and parents, local leaders, and entire communities in developing interethnic relationships and building the foundation for a better future. In his remarks, Mr. James Stein, Mission Director of the USAID Macedonia, noted that “For many years, USAID has worked closely with the Government of Macedonia, municipal leaders, and other partners to improve access to a quality education for all of Macedonia’s learners. We have made great progress in this effort.

On January 26, 2017, six judicial institutions were awarded certificates in the quality standard ISO 9001:2015 under the USAID Organizational Performance Improvement Program. The Judicial Council of the Republic of Macedonia, the Supreme Court of the Republic of Macedonia, and the four appellate courts in Skopje, Stip, Bitola, and Gostivar not only represent the first judicial institutions certified in this quality management standard, but also represent first public institutions in the country that are certified in the latest version of this standard.

Today in Mogila the USAID Small Business Expansion Project, co-financed by the Government of Switzerland, held a closing ceremony for its four-year Grow More Corn initiative during the agricultural fair Traktorijada 2016. This event was organized by the Municipality of Mogila and the Local Action Group PeLAGonija. USAID/Macedonia Mission Director James Stein and the Ambassador of Switzerland to the Republic of Macedonia, Sybille Suter-Tejada gave remarks at the closing ceremony highlighting the achievements of the initiative.

December 14, 2017 - Today at the office of the Ombudsman a Memorandum for Cooperation was signed by the Ombudsman of the Republic of Macedonia and, the USAID LGBTI Inclusion Project implemented by the Helsinki Committee for human rights, to highlight the importance of protection and promotion of the rights of LGBTI people in the Republic of Macedonia. 28 мај 2014 - Проектот на УСАИД за меѓуетничка интеграција во образованието заедно со општина Битола го прославија завршувањето на реновирањето на основното училиште Ѓорги Сугарев во Битола. Процесот на реновирање, финансиски поддржан од Владата на САД преку Европската команда на САД, создаде подобра средина за учење на учениците и наставниците од Битола, кој беше овозможен преку учеството на училиштето во проектот на УСАИД.
