USAID’s partner, the National Democratic Institute for International Affairs (NDI) launched its new Arabic-language e-learning and training platform TaalamSharek.org, or “learn-engage” in English in March 2016.

With the support of USAID and its partner, the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES), Libya’s High National Election Commission (HNEC) launched the first handicapped-accessible website in Libya. This new website is expected to help people with disabilities stay updated and pave the way for improving the inclusion of this minority community in the electoral process.

In 2015, USAID convened a four-day gathering of representatives from Libyan disabled people's organizations (DPOs), in Djerba, Tunisia, to develop a strategy for increased inclusion and accessibility in Libya's electoral process.
