USAID Deputy Mission Director Mike de la Rosa participated in an open field day event on July 26th showcasing the cultivation of some of Kosovo's many medicinal and aromatic plants (MAPs) and highlighting the successful partnership of the Agroshqiponja Collection Center with 50 women farmers in central Kosovo.

Ambassador Greg Delawie visited the Jaha Solar Panel factory on July 25th, the first (and currently only) factory in Kosovo to produce and export photovoltaic solar panels.  Founded in 2016, Jaha Solar currently employs 37 staff and can now produce enough solar panels in a year’s time to generate 250 MW of power.

On July 5th the fourth cohort of the Transformational Leadership Program’s (TLP) Immersion Component gathered to celebrate the completion of their courses of study.  Acting Mission Director Mike de la Rosa joined students, teachers, and American University in Kosovo (A.U.K.) faculty to celebrate this achievement and to publicize the value of the Immersion Courses.  The Immersion Program is a critical piece of the TLP architecture, as it supports potential TLP scholarship applicants

USAID/Kosovo Program and Policy Office Director Paul Vaca helped inaugurate a new vegetable processing line at the Eurofood Vegetable Processing Company on July 14th in the village of Xerxe in Rahovec.
