Mission Director Christopher Cushing

Christopher Cushing

Christopher (Chris) Cushing joined the Barbados based USAID/ESC Mission in October 2014 as Mission Director assuming leadership of the Mission’s portfolios in the OECS and Barbados, Guyana, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, and the Bahamas (HIV/AIDS).


Julia Henn

Julia Henn is the Director of USAID/ESC’s Health Office and is responsible for a $45 million PEPFAR program and directs the $120 million Caribbean Regional PEPFAR Program as a member of the US Government Interagency Senior Management Team. She leads a team of senior health advisors comprised of five FSNs located in Barbados, Guyana, Suriname and Trinidad. Ms. Henn reports directly to the Mission Director and represents USAID’s health portfolio to five US Embassies and two intergovernmental organizations. Ms. Henn frequently serves as Acting USAID Mission Director.


Ted Lawrence

Ted Lawrence is USAID/Eastern and Southern Caribbean’s (ESC) General Development Office Director. He oversees USAID/ESC's Youth, Citizen Security, Climate Change, Disaster Relief, Education, and Governance programs covering Barbados, St. Kitts and Nevis, Dominica, Antigua and Barbuda, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, and Grenada, Trinidad and Tobago, Guyana, and Suriname.


Mary Bliss

Mary Bliss is USAID/Eastern and Southern Caribbean’s (ESC) Program Office Director. She supervises all aspects of the annual program cycle and the mission's monitoring and evaluation programs covering Barbados, St. Kitts and Nevis, Dominica, Antigua and Barbuda, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, and Grenada, Trinidad and Tobago, Guyana, and Suriname.
