For Prospective Fellows

USAID Research and Innovation Fellowships

USAID Research and Innovation Fellows are part of an exceptional group of early-career scientists placed worldwide to engage in research and innovation projects with universities, private sector corporations, research institutions, government agencies, and non-governmental organizations. To receive fellowship funding for this projects, you must be a U.S. citizen, national, or permanent resident and a graduate student in attendance at one of our six participating U.S. universities. Fellowships can be 2-12 months in duration, and must meet the needs of a local host institution.

Each accepted USAID Research and Innovation Fellow receives financial and professional resource support through your university through USAID. For more information about the program, eligibility, and instructions on how to apply, contact your university program managers:
