Current Opportunities and Other Resources

Current Opportunities

If you are interested in partnering with USAID, please see our Partnership Opportunities page. We also have a range of on-going solicitations and bidding opportunities you may be interested in. Additional information on USAID’s Grant and Contract Process can be found here.

Other Resources

While USAID is eager to partner, the U.S. Government has a broad range of other Agencies and programs which may be useful as well.

If you are seeking funding for the export of goods and services, please visit the website of the Export-Import Bank of the United States. Ex-Im Bank is open for business in nearly 150 countries and offers a line of products that meet the financing needs of companies seeking to increase their international sales and compete more effectively. In addition to Ex-Im Bank, the Small Business Administration (SBA) has three loan guarantee programs to help small businesses access the capital needed to provide goods and services to the global marketplace. Other resources for exports can be found at www.export.gov.

If you are a U.S. business seeking debt financing or some forms of insurance for an overseas investment, please visit the website of the U.S. Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC).

U.S. businesses pursuing export opportunities can approach the U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) for potential funding for project planning activities or pilot projects or the Department of Commerce, which works to strengthen the international economic position of the United States and facilitates global trade by opening up new markets for U.S. goods and services. Also, the U.S. International Trade Administration supports business wanting to export.

In Pakistan, USAID partnered with Nestle in Southern Punjab Province. Through this partnership Nestle stood ready to purchase quality milk from farmers on a predictable basis and to support the training of farmers and intermediaries to achieve a sustainable dairy value chain. This was complemented by USAID’s Entrepreneurs Project, which conducted workshops to sharpen dairy farmers’ business skills and supported the Dairy and Rural Development Foundation of Pakistan, which provided training on dairy farm management techniques. The partnership, the project, and the Foundation have assisted more than 22,000 flood-affected dairy farmers to improve their products and double their incomes.
