Priya Jaisinghani is the Director of the Center for Digital Development within the US Global Development Lab for the U.S. Agency for International Development.

In this role she leads the agency’s efforts to leverage digital technologies and data analysis systems to dramatically enhance the agency's development outcomes. She oversees programs across Africa, Asia and Latin America that increase access to the internet, promote usage of digital financial services, and integrated data systems. She also oversees USAID's internal data analysis center which serves USAID in improved, data-informed decision making using geospatial, social media and other data analytics tools.

Prior to USAID, she served as Program Officer at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, where she helped to launch a $1 billion Global Development Program. Priya led the team responsible for the foundation’s strategy and entry into financial inclusion. She also directed the team’s entrance into core new areas of grant making, including setting a strategy for expanding insurance for the poor.

Prior to her experience at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Priya served as Development Officer in the South Asia Program of the United Nations Foundation. She started her career at Enron as a Financial Analyst in new commodity markets. Priya received her Bachelor’s in Commerce from the University of Virginia and received her Master’s in International Relations from Johns Hopkins University’s School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS).
