In honor of World AIDS Day on December 1, USAID is celebrating our HIV and AIDS work under PEPFAR. we will be highlighting efforts related to USG's theme "The Time to Act Is Now"

As the year draws to a close, we look back at the amazing impact that the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), the U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR), and our implementing partners have had worldwide. PEPFAR has entered a new phase under new leadership. We have focused our energy on controlling the HIV epidemic in order to achieve a sustainable response. The vision for PEPFAR moving forward is grounded in five key agendas: impact, efficiency, sustainability, partnership, and human rights. We look forward to working together with transparency, accountability, and impact toward our goal of an AIDS-free generation.
