Skopje - Today a three-day international conference organized by the USAID Business Without Borders project began. The conference is a unique platform where participants from the public, private, civil-society and academia sectors will exchange regional experiences and elaborate policies for SME development, hence further paving the way for overall economic growth.
Skopje - Today the Rural Development Network (RDN) and M6 signed a Memorandum of Understanding for installation of a meteorological station on location ”Lepovo”, in Negotino, owned by M6. With this agreement, M6 will allow the USAID Adaptation to Climate Change in Agriculture project to use space at the winery free of charge, while M6 will have access to the information gathered by the meteorological station and will be able to use the data for its own needs and share them with local community producers to help in agricultural production improvement.
Skopje - The USAID Youth Employability Skills (YES) Network Project today opened career centers in the Slavco Stojmenski and Jane Sandanski secondary schools in Stip. These are 2 of the 25 school career centers that USAID has helped to renovate and equip in 6 municipalities. USAID provided new furniture, IT equipment, books and other resource materials valued at U.S. $5,000 per school.
Skopje - On November 7th, in v. Krklino, Bitola, USAID launched its Small Business Expansion Project in the Pelagonija Region. The project’s goal is to work in collaboration with the private sector and local government institutions to drive regional and local economic development, and in Pelagonija, it will focus on agro-processing, rural tourism, and light manufacturing, as well as design and printing services and artisanal work as main drivers of the local economy.

The project’s goal is to work in collaboration with the private sector and local government institutions to drive regional and local economic development, and In Polog, it will initially focus on agriculture, rural tourism and construction.
Skopje - Today, USAID launched the Project for e-Accessible Education to increase opportunities for students with disabilities by fostering the use of assistive information technology in instruction as a tool for gaining better education and inclusion of students with disabilities in regular classes.
Skopje - Today, 63 entrepreneurs, owners of small and micro businesses in Macedonia, will be recognized for successfully completing the Entrepreneurs Class implemented by the Center for Entrepreneurship and Executive Development (CEED) Macedonia with support from the USAID Micro and Small Enterprises Project.
