The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) in collaboration with India’s Ministry of Power (MOP) and the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) today organized a two-day national workshop on “Accelerating Clean Energy Deployment through Innovative Policies & Regulations.” The workshop was organized as part of the U.S. - India “Partnership to Advance Clean Energy Deployment” Technical Assistance Program (PACE-D TA Program).

New Delhi: The United States government, through the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), celebrated the 2015 International Day of Forests today by launching the “Forests are Life” campaign. The campaign, developed in partnership with JC Decaux and Vertiver, will connect people to the beauty and multidimensionality of forests through graphics inspired by Indian folk and tribal art.

During his historic second visit to India, President Obama commended Prime Minister Modi’s Jan Dhan initiative to prioritize financial inclusion for all of India’s citizens. As part of the President’s pledge of U.S. support for this vital Government of India goal, the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) is pleased to announce that over twenty key U.S., Indian, and international private sector organizations intend to partner with USAID in support of the Government of India’s program to expand meaningful access to financial services and lay the foundation for a world-leading, inclusive digital economy.

IL&FS Cluster Development Initiative (IL&FS Clusters) launched the India-Kenya Dairy Innovation Bridge Program (IKDIBP) on Friday, the 16th of January. The program is jointly funded by USAID India and IL&FS Clusters. Heifer International, Kenya is the technical partner and will work with IL&FS Clusters in implementing the program in Kenya.
