USAID and KOICA Cooperate to Improve Maternal, Newborn, and Child Health in Ethiopia

On September 20, 2013, USAID Ethiopia Mission Director Dennis Weller and Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) Resident Representative to Ethiopia Byunghwa Lee signed a memorandum of understanding for cooperation on maternal, newborn and child health, an area of collaboration between the two aid agencies across sub-Saharan Africa. 

In Ethiopia, KOICA and USAID will collaborate on USAID's Integrated Family Health Program (IFHP) and KOICA's Project for Promoting Knowledge, Attitude, and Behavior Change in Population and Reproductive Health in Ethiopia with the shared goal of contributing to progress on Ethiopia's health sector Millennium Development Goals.
