William Baldridge currently serves as the team leader for economic growth in the technical support office that serves the Asia and Middle East bureaus.
Prior to this he was Director of USAID Pakistan’s Office of Economic Growth. William also served for three years as the senior financial sector advisor in USAID’s Bureau for Economic Growth, Education, and Environment. During his government career, he transferred from USAID to the U.S. Department of the Treasury where he worked as a regional government debt advisor for the eight member nations of the West Africa Monetary Union, based in Senegal. Following his West Africa tour, he served as Treasury’s Financial Attaché in Afghanistan, before returning to Washington to work in the International Affairs division of Treasury as Deputy Director for the Middle East office, running the Iraq desk.
Before entering government, Mr. Baldridge was a proprietary, institutional Treasury bond trader and a member of the Chicago Board of Trade.
