Team Leader for Broad-Based Economic Growth, Latin America and the Caribbean Bureau

Doug Pulse is the Team Leader for Broad-Based Economic Growth within USAID Bureau for Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC). In this role, he manages a technical team and provides advisory services and technical support to LAC Bureau leadership and field missions. He has designed and managed activities covering various technical areas, including business enabling environment reform, financial sector development, and public financial management.

His eight years at USAID have also included a detail to the Inter-American Development Bank’s Multilateral Investment Fund (IDB/MIF) to work with their Access to Finance Unit.

From 2002-2004, he served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Dominican Republic, supporting a local microfinance institution. He holds an MS in Foreign Service from Georgetown University and a BA from Wake Forest University.
