Codrington residents dig holes and plant fencing posts to help fortify breaches in their lagoon

The Codrington Lagoon on the small island of Barbuda is exceptionally rich in biodiversity. It also protects the small village of Codrington and its 1,300 inhabitants against storms surges and swells.

USAID supports Antigua and Barbuda's Customs Renewal Program

Tenijah Lawrence, an Antigua and Barbuda Junior Customs Officer of over 16 years, says "I feel a greater sense of professionalism and responsibility as a customs officer." She is one of the 100 Customs Officers to participate in a comprehensive training program undertaken by USAID, through its Caribbean Open Trade Support (COTS) Program in 2008.
