For Immediate Release
WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Administrator Rajiv Shah will travel to London on Tuesday, October 28, to meet with leaders in government and business about strengthening the capacity of African governments and economies, as well as continuing to build international support for combating the Ebola outbreak in West Africa.
As discussed at the first-ever U.S.-Africa Leaders Summit earlier this year in Washington, Africa is home to seven of the ten fastest-growing economies in the world. USAID is focused on advancing development opportunities in Africa to help the continent end extreme poverty and secure a more stable, prosperous future.
