WASHINGTON, D.C. - U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Assistant to the Administrator for Africa Eric Postel will visit Zambia, Ghana, Kenya, and the Philippines December 3 - 17. His trip will focus on USAID's development assistance supporting the health, democracy and governance, and economic development sectors.
During his visit, Postel will meet with implementing partners, government officials and leaders from non-governmental organizations to learn about program impacts, and their progress toward building the capacity of community-based organizations. Postel will also address attendees at the Zambia Investment Conference showcasing the country's vast investment opportunities for local and foreign businesses and celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Lusaka Stock Exchange, an effort for which he led the implementation.
Through USAID's new model for development, we are investing in Africa's greatest resource-its people-to sustain and further development, opportunity, and human rights for this and future generations.
