USAID Administrator to Speak at National Press Club on U.S. Response to International Disasters and Foreign Aid Reform

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Dr. Rajiv Shah, Administrator for the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), will deliver a speech and take questions at the National Press Club on Friday, June 18th.

Dr. Shah will discuss the Haiti recovery effort as the six-month anniversary of the earthquake approaches, including both success stories and remaining challenges. He will also outline the significant reform efforts underway at USAID aimed at modernizing the Agency in order to achieve President Barack Obama's bold development vision and meet the Administration's foreign policy and national security priorities.
