Center for Global Development Hosts USAID Administrator Shah to Discuss the U.S. Africa Partnership

WASHINGTON, D.C. – United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Administrator Rajiv Shah will participate in a discussion with Center for Global Development (CGD) President Nancy Birdsall regarding President Obama’s recent trip to Africa. Having accompanied President Obama on his trip to Africa, Administrator Shah will discuss USAID's work in Africa and several key initiatives that were the focus of the trip, including Power Africa, the Young African Leaders Initiative, Feed the Future, and the New Alliance for Food Security.  He will talk about how these efforts represent a new partnership with Africa that will foster sustainable growth, prosperity, and strong youth engagement and exchanges for future generations.
