USAID Administrator Gayle Smith to Speak at InterAction Forum 2016

WASHINGTON, D.C. - U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Administrator Gayle Smith will participate in the 2016 annual InterAction Forum. On April 18, Administrator Smith will deliver remarks at the opening day festivities to share her thoughts on the future of humanitarian assistance and international development. She will be joined by The Rt. Hon. Justine Greening, MP, Secretary of State for International Development for the United Kingdom. The conversation with Greening and Smith will close the Forum's opening plenary session, "The World We Want: Opportunities to Shape a Shifting Global Landscape."

On April 19, Administrator Smith will deliver the InterAction Gala keynote address and will preview USAID's priorities for the upcoming World Humanitarian Summit. The gala will honor U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham; David Beckmann, President & CEO, Bread for the World; and Raed Saleh, Head of the Syrian Civil Defense.   

For the past three decades, InterAction's Forum has convened leaders from a variety of sectors, becoming one of the largest gatherings of international development and humanitarian professionals. More than 1,000 attendees from more than 350 organizations will participate in this year's Forum.
