WASHINGTON, D.C. – On June 8, U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Administrator Dr. Rajiv Shah will travel to the United Kingdom to attend Nutrition for Growth: Beating Hunger through Business and Science – a high level meeting co-hosted by the governments of the United Kingdom and Brazil, and the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF). The event will bring together business leaders, scientists, governments and civil society to highlight commitments in the fight against global hunger and undernutrition.
During the event, Administrator Shah will attend a high-level forum to address support for scaling up nutrition and will also chair a special panel on the New Alliance for Food Security and Nutrition, which was first announced by President Obama at the Camp David G-8 Summit last year. The panel will focus on New Alliance progress, accountability, and results.
