The Kabul City Initiative (KCI), begun in November 2010, provides technical and material support to the Kabul Municipality. The three-year project works in close partnership with Kabul’s mayor and municipal staff to enhance the capacities of Kabul Municipality’s administration and management functions.
Overview
The VWO Safe House for At-Risk Women and Girls project, which was signed in September 2012, supports efforts to establish and operate women’s shelters. Specifically, the project supports immediate safe refuge to at-risk women and girls, including victims of violence, in Nimroz province. The project will also support psycho-social counseling to victims of abuse and violence, legal counseling and services to women, and will establish a case referral system to ensure efficient protection for at-risk women and girls.
